"During these times, many of the everyday challenges we face are magnified, and those who are parents or guardians of young children may feel added pressure with work-life integration. So we are very excited to launch a pilot program at Colliers, with the help of the amazing team at CIIRVE, for parents of children ages 5 to12. Thanks to this program, our frontline workers, and many of those struggling to manage schoolwork along with work-from-home responsibilities, now have some additional support in the form of virtual sessions that are creative, active, engaging and educational."

How does it work?

We make it simple for parents. When your company launches CIIRVE, you will receive an email with a link to sign up. We will ask you to share your contact information, your children’s essential information and times that work best for your family to have your child enrolled in a CIIRVE program.

You will receive communication from us once your child is enrolled. All you need to do is to get your child in front of a device at the scheduled time. And, leave the rest to us and our experienced educators. It gives you an uninterrupted and guilt-free time to focus on work tasks, while your children are having fun and learning in a social setting online.

What are CIIRVE classes like?

When you sign up on CIIRVE, you will be asked to share your children’s age, interests and availability for a 2-hour class blocks. We will use this information to enroll your child into a CIIRVE curated program designed along three themes: STEAM, Fine Arts and a Hybrid of both. See our educator here.

What are the ages of kids attending each class?

We aim to group similar ages of kids together in one class. This will ensure they are learning at the right level and will allow educators to manage the class more effectively. The age groups will be 5-7, 8-10 and 11-12 years old.

How long are the classes?

We identified the two-hour curated block of programming as that key window of time for students to maximize their learning, combining a variety of experiences in a single chunk of the day. We scheduled classes at times when working parents could maximize their own productivity, knowing that a happy and productive child makes for a happy and productive family classes are two hours long. In this time, your child will be taught by several instructors covering different subjects.

One of CIIRVE’s core principles is to keep instruction engaging and educationally sound. With that in mind, we’ve divided our blocks into three key segments: two distinct subject areas broken up with a short, but reinvigorating, period of guided physical activity. By engaging mind and body over 120 minutes, we enable students to satisfy both their appetites for learning and their natural thirst for physical activity. With these foundational needs met, parents can rest easy, knowing that CIIRVE is fully committed to providing a balanced mind-body approach for each child.

What subjects will be taught?

Our focus is on activities that parents would normally send their kids to after-school and/or on weekends. These enrichment activities will cover a range of interests including art, music, coding and science. We are also aware of the challenges in delivering some classes online (e.g. we won't be able to offer swimming and biking!), so we will focus on other subjects where lessons can be effectively delivered virtually.

What is the class size?

Our objective is to maximize engagement, which means we will keep classes small, the ratio is 1 educator to up to 6 kids. We will work with our educators to adjust this ratio based on experience on the level of learning and engagement with the kids.
